It's looking up toward heaven
on a misty, rainy day,
And seeing quiet beauty
in a hundred shades of gray.
It's knowing
there's the promise
of a rainbow just above -
God's gift that's sent to tell us
of His everlasting love.
Have faith that the rain clouds
that darken your sky
Will bring you a rain shower's
sweet lullaby,
The whispering music
of drops as they fall -
Growing ever more distant,
and gentle, and small.
And then, as these sounds
fade completely away,
Have faith that God's sunshine
will brighten your day -
That your world will be washed
fresh and happy once more -
And that things will be better
than ever before.
