my little cynic

I had wanted to spend my time watching Pearl Harbour one Sunday night, but ended up watching Jihad: Pedang(Sword)Islam.

On a plain note, it seems to portray the usual corruption, oppression and under-lying politics. This whole war for the cause of religion is nothing but a facade to have civillians support terrorism. And the fundamental cause of it all, stems from injustice that has oppressed many innocent lives, wrecked the total imbalance of peace and imborne an uncertainty in the future. One would think, where all this is heading to. A Third World War? That, I feel would be inevitable; if this present anarchy cannot be put to a rest, and reconciliations to be tried and acted out.

The first thing I feel that needs to be done is to banish corruption. It is the only thing that has breed terrorism and allow it to flourish, and I feel there is more to just one party connected but rather, a multi-level, multi-national corruption. We need real leaders to lead a certain nation; not just any leader that has his own agenda, who acted out of his emotional tendencies.

To hunt down terrorist by means of retaliation, is not the only method. To attack the first, is not to assail the last. Nor, are these radicals, free at hand to have innocent lives pay for a certain unsatisfaction. Self-righteousness is not religion, in fact, bigotry; the epithet, that parent of crime, is an insult to piety.

These things and deeds are diametrically opposed: they are distinct as is vice from virtue. There is a difference; and it is good, and not a bad action to mark broadly and clearly the line of demarcation between them.

It is time, that leaders address a certain inherent syndrome, which was why it could never really match to the Golden periods of Renaissance; Romance, the medieval periods, that span of time, where it had produced, an abundance of scholars at hand.

One needs a thinking society, and not an apathetic, callous and superficial individuals. One cannot take the Religion too literally; to be only embracing the rituals, that holds one to its belonging but the essence; that covers the religion as a whole.

What I feel, that separates Humans from Angels, is the very fact that humans, will perpetually make mistakes; that it is hard for them to embrace Goodness without tampering with Evil. To question ones Motives is to understand ones Origin. There is not one impressionable, all-believable innocent child, that has grown to become cynics and a skeptics, as a result of the prevailing doom.

One can still make a difference on this earth, by starting with oneself.
